It’s been a while since I’ve done a 2020 recruiting update, but I’ll combine it with a few bits from the last week on the 2018 class.

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Ramsey (NJ) Don Bosco Prep running back Jalen Berger was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’0″, 175 lb. prospect with offers from Maryland, Rutgers, and Syracuse. Don Bosco’s head coach recently retired and was replaced by former Rutgers quarterback Mike Teel.

Brooklyn (NY) Poly running back Lamy Constant (formerly Lamy Montini) was offered by Michigan, his first. He’s a 6’0″, 188 lb. prospect with one other offer from Boston College. He attends the same school as Georgia-bound offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson.

Hit the jump for several more 2020 offers.

Atlanta (GA) Woodward Academy tight end Arik Gilbert was offered by Michigan. He’s 6’5″, 232 lbs. with offers from Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He had 5 catches for 46 yards on varsity as a freshman.

Norcross (GA) Greater Atlanta Christian offensive tackle Myles Hinton was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’6″, 300 lb. prospect with offers from Georgia, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Virginia Tech. He’s the son of former NFL offensive tackle Chris Hinton and the younger brother of 2019 prospect Chris Hinton, Jr.

Milton (MA) Milton Academy running back/outside linebacker Kalel Mullings was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’2″, 195 lb. prospect who was first offered by Michigan and then Boston College, just like Lamy Constant (see above).

Millis (MA) Millis offensive tackle Kevin Pyne was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’7″, 265 lb. prospect with offers from Florida State, Kentucky, UCLA, and Virginia Tech, among others.

Seattle (WA) Garfield defensive end Sav’ell Smalls was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’4″, 225 lb. prospect with offers from Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, USC, and Washington. Some consider him to be the top defensive end prospect in the 2020 class, though of course it’s very early. He’s a teammate of 2018 wide receiver Treshaun Harrison.

OFF THE BOARD

Westerville (OH) South running back Jaelen Gill committed to Ohio State. Gill was one of the players I wanted most for Michigan to get in the 2018 class, but he was all Buckeye the whole time.

Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy wide receiver Brian Hightower committed to Miami. Michigan has made some inroads at IMG Academy lately, but Hightower was a guy who was expected to stay in Florida.

Marietta (GA) Lassiter cornerback Christian Jackson committed to Michigan State. Originally from the state of Michigan before moving to Georgia, he grew up as a fan of the Spartans.
