Earlier this week, I posted about former Michigan players who have transferred (LINK).

Up next is the players who were at one time committed to the Wolverines.

FORMER COMMITS

RB Tim Baldwin (Indiana): Baldwin is listed as a 6’0″, 217 lb. freshman running back at Indiana.

WR Kalil Branham (Kentucky): Branham, listed at 6’1″ and 202 lbs., is expected to be a backup for the Wildcats this season.

WR George Campbell: Campbell spent last year at West Virginia and applied for a sixth year of eligibility, which was not approved by the NCAA. His career ended and it does not look like he has had an NFL opportunity.

Hit the jump for more.

CB Te’Cory Couch (Miami): Couch is expected to be a backup cornerback for the Hurricanes.

CB Shaun Crawford (Notre Dame): Crawford, who suffered from numerous injury issues, was expected to pursue a sixth year of eligibility here in 2020, but his career is now finished.

QB Messiah DeWeaver (Old Dominion): DeWeaver was expected to be the third-string quarterback for the Monarchs, but their season has been postponed/canceled.

RB A.J. Dillon (Green Bay Packers): Dillon, a 2nd round pick out of Boston College, starts the year as the #3 running back for the Packers.

QB Kevin Doyle (Arizona): Doyle opted out of the 2020 season even before the Pac-12 season was postponed/canceled.

OG Emil Ekiyor (Alabama): Ekiyor is slated to be the starting left guard for the Crimson Tide.

DT Jordan Elliott (Cleveland Browns): Elliott, a 3rd round pick out of Missouri, will begin the year as a backup defensive tackle for the Browns.

RB Eric Gray (Tennessee): Gray is the #2 running back behind Ty Chandler for the Volunteers.

OT Devery Hamilton (Duke): Hamilton is projected to be a backup offensive tackle for the Blue Devils after spending the last four seasons at Stanford.

OT Kai-Leon Herbert (Miami): Herbert is projected to be a backup offensive tackle for the Hurricanes.

DE Stephen Herron, Jr. (Stanford): Herron, a backup for the Cardinal, is not playing this year due to the Pac-12’s postponement/cancellation.

WR Jeremiah Holloman (FIU): Holloman is expected to be a starter for the Panthers this season.

OT James Hudson III (Cincinnati): Hudson will be the starting left tackle for the Bearcats.

C Jalil Irvin (Auburn): Irvin is backing up the center position for the Tigers.

LB Antwuan Johnson (Bowling Green): Johnson entered the transfer portal but has not found a landing spot yet, as far as I know.

LB Chase Lasater (FAU): Lasater is a backup linebacker for the Owls.

OT Micah Mazzccua (Baylor): Mazzccua is listed as a 6’4″, 326 lb. true freshman backup for the Bears on the offensive line.

LB David Reese II: Reese was picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Vikings but has since been released.

S Otis Reese (Ole Miss): Reese has transferred from Georgia to Ole Miss, but he has not received a waiver to be immediately eligible for the Rebels.

S Antwaine Richardson (Maryland): Richardson is supposed to start this year for the Terps, but the season has been postponed/canceled.

OT Erik Swenson (Oklahoma): Swenson, a fifth year senior, is listed as a backup right tackle behind Adrian Ealy.

S Garrett Taylor: Taylor was picked up as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State by the Buffalo Bills, but he has since been released.

TE Leonard Taylor (Cincinnati): Taylor is expected to be a backup tight end for the Bearcats.

LB Vic Viramontes (UNLV): Viramontes, who was slated to be UNLV’s starting SAM linebacker in 2020, will have a choice to make with UNLV’s season being postponed/canceled.

DT Denver Warren: The former 2020 commit has reclassified to 2021 and transferred to St. Thomas More in Connecticut for a prep year.

DE Rashad Weaver (Pitt): Weaver is supposed to start in 2020 after hurting his knee, which ruined his 2019 season.

DT Tyrece Woods (Buffalo): Woods was expected to be a backup defensive tackle for the Bulls before the season was postponed/canceled.

Rashad Weaver ended being a big miss. He is in line to be a 2nd or 3rd Rd pick and All ACC Dlineman. We sure could have used him.

Yeah, he was a guy that I gave a low TTB Rating to when he committed, and then after I saw his senior film, I thought he improved significantly. He would have received a huge bump if he had still been committed to Michigan.
