Andrew Sprague, Wolverine

Kansas City (MO) Rockhurst OT Andrew Sprague

Kansas City (MO) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague committed to Michigan on Friday. He picked the Wolverines over offers from LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, and USC, plus others.

I wrote a scouting report on Sprague the day before he committed, so you can check out a lot of relevant information there (LINK).

Michigan now has three offensive linemen in the 2024 class, where Sprague joins offensive guard Luke Hamilton (LINK) and offensive tackle Ben Roebuck (LINK). Here’s a look at what the line could look like when they arrive on campus:

LT: Jeffrey Persi (RS Sr.), Evan Link (So.), Andrew Sprague (Fr.)
LG: Giovanni El-Hadi (RS Jr.), Nathan Efobi (So.), Luke Hamilton (Fr.)
C: Greg Crippen (RS Jr.), Raheem Anderson II (RS Jr.), Amir Herring (So.)
RG: Zak Zinter (RS Sr.), Reece Atteberry (RS Sr.), Dominick Giudice (RS Jr.), Connor Jones (RS So.)
RT: Andrew Gentry (RS So.), Tristan Bounds (RS Jr.), Ben Roebuck (Fr.)

Michigan is looking to take at least five linemen in the class, and there are still a lot of options. Both Blake Frazier and Max Anderson have been crystal balled to Michigan, and Josh Henschke put in a FutureCast on Rivals for Bennett Warren to pick the Wolverines, too. There are several others who have visited and expressed interest, too.

There are eleven total commits in the class, and Sprague is the fourth highest ranked, behind QB Jadyn Davis (#28), RB Jordan Marshall (#91), and S Jacob Oden (#154).

The only other player in Michigan history to come from Rockhurst was walk-on tight end Carter Selzer, who played for Michigan from 2017-2022.
