Chantel Jennings interviews Novi (MI) Catholic Central’s Matt Godin

Much has been written about incoming freshman defensive lineman, Matt Godin, including a Touch the Banner interview from June that you have probably read since it’s been linked on the sidebar for several months. We are again going to interview Godin to get his thoughts on his dominate senior season, preparations for heading to Ann Arbor etc., but first we’d like to open the floor to questions from you guys. So if you’d like to get any Matt Godin related information from Matt Godin himself, please leave a question in the comment section of this post, and we’ll try to address it in the interview.

[On a side note, I’ll be looking forward to the 2013 recruiting class tomorrow morning with a scouting report on Godin’s teammate Wyatt Shallman. -Thunder]

Ask him if Tennessee's treatment of players wanting to transfer (like Arnett) is a turn-off for him or any other recruits he has talked to.

Target weight in 2 years. What type of DT Mattison projects for him on the line (RVB? Slasher? Space eater?). When Wyatt Shallman is going to commit.

Also, is Chantel Jennings hot in-person? I mean, I've seen conflicting visual evidence in her ESPN videos…she's like the 2-face in Seinfeld.

Michigan puts a big emphasis on its off-season stength and conditioning program. What is your off-season program like as you prepare to make the leap to the B1G?

Explore his views on adapting to the college football life. He won't be "the man" any more and in fact will probably be low-man for the first time in his life. How prepared is he? Also, regarding Shalman, looks like he is getting offers attention as DE/OLB, "RB", and H-back. How will you evaluate him ? I think Michigan could use him many ways.

What is his current weight and what did the coaches tell him to get to at the start of camp. And what he's doing to put on that weight while still staying in shape. Thanks!
