What I’ve Been Reading: Everything

I’m a wild and crazy guy who reads a bunch of books at once, so here’s what I’m reading right now:

• Act of War by Brad Thor (car)
• Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (bedtime stories)
• Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin (work)
• The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly (bedroom)
• Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell (bathroom)

This is how I work. Rather than carrying books around – or using a Kindle or something – I just keep books in different areas of my life. That way if I’m ever sitting in the car or somewhere that I have to wait, I have a book. If I’m going to sleep, I usually try to read for about 15-20 minutes, so I have one by my bed.

So throw out your suggestions. I’ve ordered a few of your books – and I’m reading the Bosch and Harvath series because of your suggestions – so I take your thoughts seriously.

Site News: No More Redirects (I Hope)

If you have been receiving the above picture at times over the past couple months when trying to access TTB, I have some (potentially) good news: the malware has been removed.

Yay!

I made several requests to technical people for help, and they kept telling me that readers should clear their cache. Which, you know, might have worked, I guess, but it’s hard to tell readers they should clear their cache if they can’t actually land on my website to see words. Sure, I can reach people who follow me on Twitter, but that’s not everyone.

So.

If you continue to see redirects like the stupid one above, please do two things:

1. Clear your cache, which might help temporarily.
2. Contact me via e-mail or Twitter and let me know, at which point I can notify Flywheel again.

Thanks for reading, and thanks to the people who kept contacting me so I could know that the problem was ongoing.

Michigan Wolverines in the XFL

The XFL will begin its first season for the second time on February 1.

Cole Hussung, Wolverine

Floyds Knob (IN) Floyd Central kicker Cole Hussung committed to Michigan on Wednesday.

Hussung is coming in as a preferred walk-on. He is not rated by 247 Sports, but Kornblue Kicking ranks him as a 5-star and the #6 high school kicker in the 2020 class, so that’s nice. Word on the street is that he made 23 field goals from beyond 60 yards and averaged 102.3 yards per punt with just 1 touchback.

I generally do not give much attention to kickers because they’re hard to gauge, but a 5-star kicker could be really good to have. Or some other guy playing rugby in New Zealand could swoop in and take his spot. So take it all with a grain of salt.
