Washington (DC) St. John’s QB Kevin Doyle

Washington (DC) St. John’s quarterback Kevin Doyle committed to Michigan this past week. He chose the Wolverines over offers from Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Ole Miss, among others.

Doyle is 6’4″ and 210 lbs. He claims a 4.85 forty.

Former Michigan Athlete of the Week: Tom Brady

The GOAT, Tom Brady, had another great game this past weekend. In a 36-33 win over the Houston Texans that he pulled out in the final minutes of the game, Brady was 25/35 for 371 yards and 5 touchdowns.

  • Los Angeles Rams safety Blake Countess made 2 tackles in a 41-39 win over the San Francisco 49ers
  • Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess made 4 catches for 58 yards in a 34-13 loss to the New Orleans Saints
  • Minnesota Vikings LB Ben Gedeon made 3 tackles in a 34-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

TRANSFERS

Ross Douglas, LB (Rutgers): Rutgers returned to its losing ways with a 27-17 loss to Nebraska. Douglas made 3 tackles and 1 quarterback hurry.

Shane Morris, QB (CMU): Morris seems to have fallen back to his old ways after a great week two against Kansas. He went 15/33 for 195 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions in a 31-14 loss to Miami-OH. He also ran 7 times for 33 yards and 1 touchdown.

Let’s see more of this guy on offense . . . John O’Korn. You don’t want to see anyone get injured, but O’Korn did a pretty good job in place of the banged up Wilton Speight. O’Korn was 18/26 for 270 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception, and he put up the best quarterback performance of the season. He also led Michigan on its two longest drives of the season (84 and 86 yards), including going 3-for-3 in the red zone. O’Korn also passed the eye test with some very good throws, quick decisions, and scrambling ability. O’Korn should be the starter moving forward.
