Former offensive coordinator Al Borges: Borges, now the offensive coordinator at San Jose State, is part of a 1-2 program after SJSU lost to Utah, 34-17. The Spartans are #69 in scoring offense and #72 in total offense.

Former DE commit Pharaoh Brown: Brown made 1 catch for 1 yard in Oregon’s 35-32 loss to Nebraska.

Former WR/S Brian Cole II: Cole made 3 tackles in East Mississippi Community College’s 54-10 win over Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Hit the jump for many more updates.

Former CB commit Gareon Conley: Conley made 1 tackle and 1 pass breakup in Ohio State’s 45-24 win over the Oklahoma Sooners.

Former defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin: Durkin’s Maryland Terrapins beat Central Florida by a score of 30-24. Maryland is 3-0.

Former RB Derrick Green: Green had 10 carries for 26 yards and 1 touchdown in TCU’s 41-20 win over Iowa State.

Former RB commit Damien Harris: Harris carried the ball 16 times for 144 yards (9.0 yards/carry) and 1 touchdown in Alabama’s 48-43 win over Ole Miss. He also caught 2 passes for 1 yard. He has emerged as Alabama’s lead back and is averaging 9.1 yards/carry so far this season.

Former head coach Brady Hoke: Hoke’s Oregon Ducks defense held Nebraska to 17/35 completions, but they allowed 4.9 yards/carry, including the game-winning touchdown run by Conrhuskers quarterback Tommy Armstrong, Jr. The final was 35-32. Oregon is 2-1.

Former LB commit Antonio Kinard: A handful of Michigan fans were tweeting on Thursday night about not realizing that Antonio Kinard is still playing college football, which hurt my feelings deeply since I’ve posted about him pretty regularly in these updates. I guess I’ll get over it someday. . . .  For a quick review, Kinard committed to Michigan in 2009 as a part of the 2016 class, but he didn’t qualify. He sat out a year, went to a JUCO in Arizona, and then ended up at Cincinnati. He made 18 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 sack, and 2 pass breakups in the Bearcats’ 40-16 loss to Houston.

Former DT Ondre Pipkins: Pipkins made 2 tackles in Texas Tech’s 59-45 shootout win over Louisiana Tech.

Former FB/LB commit David Reese: Reese made 5 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in Florida’s 32-0 win over North Texas.

Former LB Kaleb Ringer: Ringer made 4 tackles in Georgia State’s scare of Wisconsin, though the Badgers won by a score of 23-17.

Former defensive coordinator Greg Robinson: Robinson spent 2014 and 2015 as the defensive coordinator for San Jose State, but he retired following the 2015 season.

Former head coach Rich Rodriguez: Rodriguez’s Arizona squad beat Hawaii by a score of 47-28 and the Wildcats move to 2-1. Quarterback Brandon Dawkins made his consecutive start in lieu of the injured Anu Solomon and finished 16/21 for 235 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions; he also ran 15 times for 118 yards and 3 touchdowns. Backup running back J.J. Taylor had 18 carries for 168 yards and 1 touchdown.

Former DE commit Darian Roseboro: Roseboro made 6 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks in North Carolina State’s 49-22 evisceration of Old Dominion.

Former OL/DL Tom Strobel: Strobel made 2 tackles in Ohio’s 28-19 loss to Tennessee.

Former RB commit Mike Weber: Weber had 18 carries for 123 yards and 1 catch for 6 yards in Ohio State’s 45-24 win over Oklahoma.

George Campbell had groin surgery, likely to redshirt this year. Ross Taylor Douglas didn’t make the box score for Rutgers (again). Mike Weber had 123 yards rushing for Ohio State.

    TTB –

My other favorite post of yours is when you run down the former Wolverines in the NFL and how they did in the past week. Will that be returning to the site or have you moved on to other things?

This week I saw that Brandon Graham tore up the Bears, Rawls got hurt, and Brady is still suspended. Sadly there aren’t that many former players who are particularly active as most are back-ups (Henne, Denard, Wilson, etc.)

I plan to do that post as well. I just didn’t get a chance to do it last week because it was a hectic week, for various reasons.

Thunder, out of curiosity, where would you rank Mike Weber against our current RB?

I would put him at the top. I don’t know if he’s on Ezekiel Elliott’s level, but he might be the best RB on the roster if he were at Michigan. He has the best combination of speed, quickness, power, vision, etc.

Will you be doing any updates on current commits/targets for 17′ and how they’re doing in high school this year?
