I’ll be listening to this game rather than watching … I’m spending the fall in the wilds of West Virginia and I don’t have TV, nor an internet decent enough to stream ESPN. But I do have Sirius radio, so I’ll endure Jim Brandstatter while I listen this one.
(My chief complaint against Brandstatter’s style is he rushes things … he’s so eager to be enthusiastic about a play that he fails to provide timely information about what actually happened. It usually takes Dierdorf’s recap to paint the picture.)
As for the game, I think Michigan may score into the 50’s, but it won’t be a 60- or 70-point margin. I’ll be surprised if Hawaii scores a touchdown, though I think a FG or two is not out of the question. I’m thinking something like 49-3 or 56-6. Michigan has this in hand by the mid-2nd quarter.
I think we’ll see limited depth chart substitution in the 1st half, and maybe even through 3 quarters. If the score is as predicted we’ll see some the freshmen come into the game in the 4th. 1st quarter = establish game; 2nd quarter = secure game; 3rd quarter = extended practice for 1’s; 4th quarter = expand experience.

Well, I was wrong about the Michigan points scored. But that’s a good thing to be wrong about. Can’t wait for Thunder’s review of this game. LOTS of true freshman in on this game.
