Yeah, I don’t understand it at all. And why was Sims’s appeal approved after his initial application was denied? I mean, not that all those details need to be made public, but it just doesn’t make sense that all the info wasn’t initially shared…and then after being denied, they suddenly shared actual information that got him through.
The only people who win in this current situation are the lawyers and low level NCAA admins paid to oversee the bureaucracy.
Harbaugh already gave the solution. Fans won’t like the ‘free agency’ element, but it’s better than this BS. Dropping decisions the day before the season is nuts.
Stanford, Notre Dame & Northwestern are all at or near having the lowest transfer/players leaving the program rates in all of college football. Whats the common denominator of those 3 universities? Stiff academic admissions that bend to the HC’s desire for some recruit who can’t read or understand basic math & science………
All of this easy non-graduate transfer stuff is on the University football recruiting & academic admissions policies for recruiting players who can easily be admitted in the first place — when many of them shouldn’t even be admitted to a school like Michigan in the first place. Make the fucking NFL form thier own minor league system for high school grads that can’t read; ya know like baseball & the NBA’s ‘D’ league…….
The NFL has been getting a free ride for tooo long. Put the ‘student’ back into university athletics.
As I See It…………INTJohn
This whole transfer-eligibility thing is mess. Either everyone gets a RS, sits, or make clear the exceptions already!
