Looking sideways at a list that puts Brandon Peters above the guys that beat him out at Michigan.

Did McCaff & Milton really “beat Peters out”? Patterson beat him out, for sure + he graduated. Why sit on the bench as a grad with 2 years elgibility behind Patterson knowing you can go & start for a second NFL Super Bowl appearing coach?

Yes. By every measure but most importantly who played meaningful downs. Against ND and Wisconsin it was not Peters.

Peters had a good year. Still slow on reading/working pressure, with questionable decisions, but when Lovie went with tempo – esp at sparty – I was happy for him
OTOH, DMac & Milton have never started a game, so of course a blogger will slot them behind a starter

If Peters had a good year, Patterson had a GREAT year.

OK not football: I’m really pissed off right now about getting beat at Crisler by Wisconsin
AND
it now does feels like football: I’m not looking forward to this weekend’s game in Columbus.

Against ND & Wisconsin? I hope ur referring to ’18 cause Peters wasn’t even on the team for ’19 – was at Ill. Anyway by the time ’18 & Patterson rolled around I’m guessin Harbaugh & Peters had the discussion about how he’s not going to start over Patterson and rather than destroy his 2 years remaining elgibility by playing him a handful of downs as the backup he should contiune to work hard on fundamentals & what he most needs to improve on as a QB; work hard on his academics, graduate and Harbaugh will give the great Grad Recommendation to a good coach, etc………
Speculation on my part, IDK, only Peters & Harbaugh know the conversations…… but never the less I don’t see anything that says for sure that McCaff & Milton “beat him out”; just Harbaugh taking care of one of his own in owns best long term future interest.

@John
Peters already red-shirted in 2016. So unless you are saying Harbaugh gave him a pass on practice in 2018 there was nothing to preserve.
Anyway, he played late in blowouts against OSU and Nebraska, attempting 1 pass in each game.
I think maybe your Harbaugh-let-Peters-checkout theory could fly but most likely only after the regular season/semester.

IDK what I’m sayin – disregard that last transmission.
Jus wana see a Michigan football team beat OSU at least once more in my lifetime. Basketball would be good too.
Jeez mbb: 3 Losses to MSU last year & now twice this year to the buckeyes and might see them again in the b10 turnee……..
The good news is starting march 13th Its Texas Spring Break Week and the ole man will be at my usual stage spot at Clayton’s Beach Bar on South Padre……….
:^)………..intjohn
I’ll try to get back into some semblance of Football after March Madness: Spring Break & ncaa turnee.

I wonder how many Michigan fans would pass a hypothetical quiz, true or false: Shea Patterson entered college a year before Brandon Peters.

Reminds me of fans who blame Rich Rod for Appalachian State.
