Taybor Pepper was once committed to Michigan as a preferred

Wow, looks like we just missed on a few stud offensive linemen. If I remember correctly we were under serious consideration for Taylor Decker, Kozan and Garnett. Very unfortunate that Kalis and Mags haven't had the same career arc thus far.

Would they have had the same careers here as they have had at their respective school under Funk? Food for thought.

That's the real issue. I firmly believe that Michigan's offensive coaching was just not up to snuff. I liked Nussmeier, Jackson, and Hecklinski, but Borges, Funk, and Ferrigno (particularly Funk) were not great hires. There was way too little development on the offensive line.

This is why people who are projecting 10 wins for this team are so far out in left field. We just don't have the horses for double digit wins. We have 8-4 talent, and nothing Harbaugh does this year can change that. People who think he's just going to waltz in and wave a magic wand or give a Patton speech and turn these guys into worldbeaters are deluding themselves. It will be 2017 or 2018 before we're even close to the talent level of OSU or MSU.
