The passing yards are nice, but missed 3 field goals? hopefully they were bad snaps or holds etc.

I've heard he had been practicing off of the turf/ground at camps and throughout the summer. in high school you kick off of a "block" and it elevates the ball about two inches. That small difference can make A LOT of difference for a kicker. Hope he gets it figured out soon.

For a guy that got a very early offer at kicker, he doesn't seem to be a very good kicker at all. Andrew David and the legacy commit don't really seem deserving of early offers to me.

Runyan may be ok, we'll see when he gets here. Linemen are sometime hard to evaluate until they get to playing weight.

Now, I know nothing about evaluating kickers…. but this homie doesn't seem to kick very well. How the fudge could he get an offer missing everything greater than a 20 yard field goal? He seems like a terrible offer to me.

Agreed, 0/4 thus far for the year is not overly exciting. And we're not talking about 40-50 yard attempts either.

I ask this kind of generally-speaking, but this seems like a good post to ask it in because it may apply… Has a school ever revoked a scholly from a verbal commit that had serious performance issues like this? I can't imagine Hoke pulling his offer, but I also can't see how we can tie up a scholarship for a kicker that can't kick field goals.

There are stipulations in scholarship offers that say kids need to hold up their end of the bargain in athletics and academics to actually receive the scholarship tender in February. Schools rescind their offers every year. In fact, that seemed to be kind of a common thing in the Rodriguez years, although it's always unclear whether it's performance, academics, or character is the main reason for the school backing off.

I don't think any school would come out and say that is the reason for pulling a offer but until signing day they can pull an offer for whatever reason.

My bigger problem is that they know this is a small class but sent out some questionable offers to guys that likely would have committed the day before signing day. Then on the other hand you have a few guys that are on every top whatever list and have been wanting offers but no offers have went their way. It just doesn't make much sense to me it all.
