Site News: Summer is Coming

May 14, 2017

The summer months are coming, which means there’s a little more free time to work on the site. So now is always a good time to get a feel for the direction of the site.

What about the site needs to be added, improved, fixed, etc.? If you have experience in site design, think about widgets, plug-ins, layout, etc. If you’re a fan, think about information, content, etc.

A few things to think about:

  • Does the site need a Twitter feed on the sidebar?
  • Do you want to see more pictures and videos of recruits? Do you prefer clicking on links to highlight videos?
  • What types of posts do you prefer to see linked on the nightly posts – coaching posts, Michigan news, national college football news, other?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

    Thanks for taking feedback Thunder!

I think the addition of Mike & UMBig11 were great, and both add value to already enjoyable content

The only thing I’d change is the format/display of comments. I don’t know if this only happens on mobile devices, but after a few replies, it’s almost impossible to read; after a that, you can’t even comment. This takes away from the “message board” feel & experience. I’ve mentioned Tapatalk before, and that’s a major reason why. The other is the layout there makes it nearly impossible to ever miss a comment/post

Agree with je93 in that you encourage feedback and in the addition of Mike and UMBig11.

The subject content here is varied and I enjoy the coaching posts. I am very interested in any available news with respect to competition on the roster etc. I don’t mind links in that I can chose what interests me without the overall site getting too bulky.

With respect to links from us do you encourage or discourage them when we post? Sometimes in my meanderings I come across an article that may fit within a thread. An edit feature would come in handy, but hey as a teacher you are forcing us to proof read our thoughts and mechanics before we hit send. That ain’t all bad.

Would love the idea of a twitter feed, also would really enjoy more posts about what you’ve been reading.
