Review of 2012 TTB Ratings

I did a review of my TTB Ratings from 2011 here (LINK), but it’s been a while, so it’s long past time for a look at the 2012 class.

Keep in mind that the ratings (fully explained here) are intended to project how players will fare at Michigan and, to a certain extent, in the NFL Draft. I do not take into account how players will do once they get to the NFL or how they will pan out if they transfer to other programs. I will give myself a grade of 1-5 like a 5-point grading scale (5 is best, 1 is worst) for each player; I reserve the right to give myself an incomplete if the guy never made it to his first season. I’ll work down the list from highest to lowest with a brief career recap for each player:

Dennis Norfleet scored a game-winner for Tuskegee

FORMER PLAYERS
DB Blake Countess, Auburn: Countess made 6 tackles and 1 pass breakup in Auburn’s 29-13 loss to Alabama. Auburn was highly ranked to begin the year, but their final record is 6-6.

TE Keith Heitzman, Ohio: Heitzman made 1 catch for 5 yards in Ohio’s 26-21 win over Northern Illinois. The Bobcats are bowl-eligible at 8-4.

RB Dennis Norfleet, Tuskegee: Norfleet scored the game-winning touchdown on a 2-yard run with 19 seconds remaining in Tuskegee’s 35-31 win over North Alabama in the second round of the Division II playoffs. Norfleet also started the scoring with an 8-yard run, and had 21 carries for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns, 3 catches for 19 yards, and 2 kickoff returns for 44 yards. Tuskegee plays the University of West Georgia this coming Saturday at noon in the D-II quarterfinals.

Ex-Wolverine Updates: Week 12

FORMER PLAYERS
DB Blake Countess, Auburn: Countess made 8 tackles and 2 pass breakups in Auburn’s 56-34 win over Idaho.

RB Dennis Norfleet, Tuskegee: In the first round of the Division II playoffs, Norfleet led Tuskegee in rushing with 18 carries for 88 yards. He added 2 catches for 32 yards and 2 kickoff returns for 54 yards. His team beat Catawba by a score of 26-16, and they play North Alabama next Saturday.

LB Kaleb Ringer, Georgia State: Ringer made 1 tackle in Georgia State’s 24-10 win over South Alabama.

Dennis Norfleet (#18)

Former QB Russell Bellomy: Bellomy left the program at the University of Texas-San Antonio. He had been a backup quarterback.

Former CB commit Gareon Conley: Conley made 3 tackles in Ohio State’s 49-28 win over Maryland.

Former CB commit Dallas Crawford: Crawford made 5 tackles in Miami’s 29-24 loss to Florida State.

Former quarterback Russell Bellomy: Bellomy was 1/4 for 3 yards, and he ran 2 times for 2 yards in the University of Texas-San Antonio’s 69-14 loss to Oklahoma State.
