2017

Darrion Green – CB – Dallas (TX) Woodrow Wilson: Green is a 5’11”, 170 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan and SMU. He’s a 247 Composite 3-star, the #150 cornerback, and #1528 overall. He claims a 4.4 forty. Green is partially deaf, so earning FBS football offers is a big deal. There has been some talk that his Michigan offer is “not committable,” and he will be making his college announcement in the coming weeks, so his pick will probably be SMU unless something changes.

James Hudson – DE – Toledo (OH) Central Catholic: Hudson is a 6’5″, 280 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Iowa, Penn State, and Pitt, among others; he just recently decommitted from Kentucky. He’s a 247 Composite 3-star, the #11 strongside end, and #330 overall. Michigan has not yet offered, but there’s a good chance that they will on the visit (UPDATE: Michigan did indeed offer).

Jaylen Kelly-Powell – S – Detroit (MI) Cass Tech: Kelly-Powell is a 6’0″, 183 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Oregon, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #22 safety, and #243 overall. I put in a Crystal Ball for him to Michigan a couple weeks ago.

Donovan Peoples-Jones 617x
2017

Donovan Peoples-Jones – WR – Detroit (MI) Cass Tech: Peoples-Jones is a 6’2″, 192 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 5-star, the #1 wide receiver, and #6 overall. He was the SPARQ national champion last year as a rising junior, and he earned a return invitation to The Opening when he worked out in Columbus last weekend. He’s a teammate of 2017 safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell and OG Jordan Reid.

2018

Markese Stepp – RB – Indianapolis (IN) Cathedral: Stepp is a 6’0″, 205 lb. prospect with offers from Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #12 running back, and #209 overall. As a sophomore in 2015, he ran 155 times for 1,300 yards and 17 TDs. A teammate of 2017 LB Pete Werner (Notre Dame) and 2018 OG Emil Ekiyor, his visit to Ann Arbor this weekend resulted in the offer from the Wolverines. There are six Crystal Ball predictions in place, all for the Fighting Irish.

2017

Nico Collins – WR – Pinson (AL) Clay-Chalkville: Collins is a 6’5″, 195 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, and Georgia, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #11 wide receiver, and #79 overall. He was supposed to visit Ann Arbor for the spring game but ended up visiting Georgia instead. As a junior in 2015, he caught 60 balls for 1,103 yards and 16 TDs. All 11 of his 247 Sports Crystal Ball picks are in favor of the Crimson Tide.

Alex Forsyth – OG – West Linn (OR) West Linn: Forsyth is a 6’5″, 280 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Michigan, and Oregon, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 3-star, the #65 offensive tackle, and #584 overall. It’s difficult to pull Oregon players out of Oregon who have Oregon offers, and that seems like it will be the case with Forsyth, too. He has three Crystal Ball predictions, all for the Ducks. He’ll be in town on Wednesday, May 4.

Deron Irving-Bey – DE – Flint (MI) Southwestern: Irving-Bey is a 6’5″, 271 lb. prospect with offers from Indiana, Iowa State, Michigan, and Michigan State, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #13 strongside end, and #287 overall. He picked up the offer from the Wolverines toward the end of April. Like Forsyth, Irving-Bey has three Crystal Ball predictions for a green team, but this one is the Spartans. He will be in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, May 3. UPDATE: Irving-Bey did not visit this week and will try to make it to campus in June.

2017

Jaylen Kelly-Powell – S – Detroit (MI) Cass Tech: Kelly-Powell is a 6’0″, 183 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #20 safety, and #250 overall. He’s thought to be a Michigan lean and was in town on Wednesday.

2018

Braeden Childress – WR – Big Rapids (MI) Big Rapids: Childress is a 6’4″, 210 lb. prospect with no offers at this time. He’s the younger brother of Brandon Childress, a wide receiver at Central Michigan.

Jacob Isaia – OG – Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman: Isaia is a 6’3″, 240 lb. prospect with no offers at this time. He’s a teammate of a couple offered prospects, including 2017 QB Tate Martell (Texas A&M) and CB Alex Perry.

Henry Bainivalu – OT – Seattle (WA) Skyline: Bainivalu is a 6’6″, 290 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, Washington, and Washington State, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #19 offensive tackle, and #108 overall. Michigan offered him in May of 2015, and he appears to be one of the Wolverines’ top options for a left tackle in the 2017 class.

Matt Dotson – TE – Cincinnati (OH) Moeller: Dotson is a 6’5″, 235 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #9 tight end, and #303 overall. He has eight predictions in the 247 Sports Crystal Ball, 50% of which are for Ohio State and another 38% for Tennessee. There are no Michigan picks.
