ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2019

Houston (TX) DeKaney cornerback Marcus Banks was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’0″, 170 lb. prospect with offers from LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M. He had 28 tackles and 8 tackles for loss as a junior in 2017, but he is expected to commit to the in-state Longhorns.

Dallas (TX) Bishop Dunne wide receiver/cornerback Marquez Beason was offered by Michigan. He’s a 5’11”, 173 lb. prospect with offers from LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Texas, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #6 athlete, and #84 overall. A standout on both sides of the ball, he wants to play defensive in college, and that appears to be where Michigan wants him, too.

Lawrenceville (GA) Archer cornerback Andrew Booth, Jr. was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’0″, 180 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #5 cornerback, and #88 overall. Michigan is sending out a bunch of offers to cornerbacks in the 2019 class, which makes sense because Lavert Hill and David Long will have finished their junior years, and they could be candidates to leave early for the NFL. Booth made 46 tackles and 7 interceptions as a sophomore in 2016.

Hit the jump for a bunch of other new offers that have gone out over the past several weeks.

Hyattsville (MD) DeMatha safety Nick Cross was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’1″, 203 lb. prospect with offers from Maryland, Notre Dame, and Pitt, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #24 safety, and #371 overall. Cross visited Michigan for the Ohio State game at the end of November.

Walled Lake (MI) Western offensive tackle Jacob Dean was offered by Michigan.

Auburn (AL) Auburn defensive end Mohamoud Diabate was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’4″, 215 lb. prospect with offers from Louisville, Mississippi State, and Nebraska, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #14 outside linebacker, and #188 overall. He’s still waiting on offers from the two in-state powers, but he’s likely to get at least one, and it’s always hard to get players out of Alabama.

West Bloomfield (MI) West Bloomfield linebacker Lance Dixon was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’2″, 195 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan State and Penn State, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #29 outside linebacker, and #451 overall. Michigan is looking at him as a Viper. His coach at West Bloomfield is former Michigan wide receiver Ronald Bellamy.

Los Angeles (CA) Hawkins linebacker De’Gabriel Floyd decommitted from USC. He’s a 6’2″, 220 lb. prospect who looked like he might be a safety earlier in his recruitment, but now he appears to be growing into a linebacker. He’s a 4-star, the #3 outside linebacker, and #31 overall. It would be very, very difficult for Michigan to pull him out of Pac-12 country, but the coaching staff is still trying.

Fort Washington (MD) National Christian Academy offensive tackle Will Harrod was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’5″, 305 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona, Louisville, Maryland, and South Carolina, among others. Michigan also offered his teammate, 2020 offensive tackle Aaryn Parks. National Christian Academy is generally a basketball magnet school, producing players such as Kevin Durant.

Avon (IN) Avon running back Sampson James was offered by Michigan. He’s 6’1″, 200 lbs. with offers from Indiana, Iowa, and Ohio State, among others. As a junior in 2017, he ran 243 times for 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns. Avon is the alma mater of Michigan quarterback Brandon Peters.

Gibsonia (PA) Pine-Richland offensive tackle Andrew Kristofic was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’5″, 255 lb. prospect with offers from Maryland, Pitt, Ohio State, and Wisconsin, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #51 offensive tackle, and #462 overall.

Mission (KS) Blue Valley North quarterback Graham Mertz was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’4″, 205 lb. prospect who committed to Wisconsin in October; he also has offers from Kansas and Minnesota. He’s a 4-star, the #7 pro-style quarterback, and #305 overall. As a junior in 2017, he completed 269/434 passes (62%) for 3,684 yards, 45 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions.

Loganville (GA) Grayson offensive tackle Wanya Morris decommitted from Florida State. He’s a 6’5″, 268 lb. prospect who also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, and Oregon, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #7 offensive tackle, and #55 overall. Grayson has a ton of talent year and year out, and it’s where Michigan running back Kurt Taylor finished his football career.

Katy (TX) Taylor defensive end Braedon Mowry was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’4″, 235 lb. prospect with offers from LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #20 weakside end, and #299 overall. He seems very likely to stay in or around the state of Texas.

Wichita Falls (TX) Hirschi defensive tackle Lloyd Murray, Jr. was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’2″, 310 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, and Notre Dame, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #53 defensive tackle, and #852 overall.

Lawrenceville (GA) Archer safety Jalyn Phillips was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’1″, 190 lb. prospect who runs a 4.5 forty. He has offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon, and South Carolina, among others. He’s rated as a a 4-star, the #21 safety, and #321 overall. He’s a teammate of new offeree Andrew Booth (see above).

Bridgeport (CT) Avon Old Farms quarterback Taisun Phommachanh was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’3″, 186 lb. prospect with offers from Connecticut, Maryland, and Pitt, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #21 dual-threat quarterback, and #648 overall. He claims just a 4.97 forty and doesn’t look like a gamebreaking runner, so he might be a bit more of a pro-style guy.

Calabasas (CA) Calabasas wide receiver Mycah Pittman was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’0″, 195 lb. wideout with offers from Arizona State, Texas A&M, UCLA, and USC, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #11 wide receiver, and #61 overall. He’s the son of former NFL running back Michael Pittman, who publicly complained about the playing time for his other son, Michael Pittman, Jr., at USC. So if Michigan lands Mycah, they’ll have to worry about a dad who has already proven himself to be openly grumpy if things don’t go his way.

Mentor (OH) Mentor defensive end Noah Potter was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’5″, 250 lb. prospect with offers from Ohio State, Penn State, and Oregon, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #26 strongside end, and #276 overall. The last time Michigan got a player from Mentor, it was a similar-sized player in Tom Strobel, who never did anything at Michigan and ended his career as a grad transfer at Ohio.

Baton Rouge (LA) Dunham cornerback Derek Stingley, Jr. was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’0″, 170 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and Oklahoma, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #4 cornerback, and #75 overall.

Daphne (AL) Daphne cornerback Christian Williams was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’1″, 175-pounder with offers from Arizona and Tennessee, along with a couple lesser offers.

St. Louis (MO) Cardinal Ritter wide receiver Jameson Williams was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’2″, 160 lb. prospect with offers from Missouri, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, and UCLA, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #49 wide receiver, and #314 overall.

OFF THE BOARD

Collinsville (OK) Collinsville tight end Grayson Boomer committed to Oklahoma State. It’s not too surprising that it’s tough to pull tight ends out of the area, with the high-powered offenses at Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.

West Lafayette (IN) West Lafayette defensive end George Karlaftis committed to Purdue. A Purdue legacy, he was supposed to visit Ann Arbor for the Ohio State game but committed shortly beforehand and did not end up making the trip.
