2024 Recruiting Update: April 10, 2023

COMMITMENT

Kansas City (MO) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague committed to Michigan (LINK). I also wrote a scouting report on him (LINK).

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2024

Sacramento (CA) Grant Union linebacker Kingston Lopa decommitted from Arizona. Lopa is a 6’5″, 190-pounder who plays safety but is ranked as a linebacker (3-star, #55 LB, #604 overall). The decommitment came a month after being offered by Notre Dame and a couple days after one from Texas.

Michigan offered Esko (MN) Lincoln safety Koi Perich. Perich visited Ann Arbor a couple weekends ago but left without an offer; however, Michigan came back a little over a week later with an offer. He’s a 4-star and the #28 safety to 247 Sports. Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Washington, and others have also fofered.

OFF THE BOARD

Mount Pleasant (MI) Mount Pleasant offensive guard Andrew Dennis committed to Michigan State. Dennis did not have an offer from the Wolverines, but he did visit and camp several times. He’s a 3-star, the #46 interior offensive lineman, and #719 overall. Michigan State is ranked #36 in the team recruiting rankings.

New Haven (IN) New Haven wide receiver Mylan Graham committed to Ohio State. He’s a 5-star, the #5 wide receiver, and #27 overall.

McKinney (TX) Frisco Emerson quarterback Michael Hawkins, Jr. committed to Oklahoma. He’s a 4-star, the #19 quarterback, and #311 overall.

Batesville (MS) South Panola linebacker Julius “Juju” Pope committed to Arkansas. He’s a 4-star, the #29 linebacker, and #338 overall. Michigan continues to strike out in Mississippi, a state that abhors sending players to Ann Arbor.
