Anaheim (CA) Servite safety Julius Irvin

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2018

Charlotte (NC) Mallard Creek defensive tackle Jordan Davis was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’6″, 300-pounder with offers from Florida, Miami, North Carolina, and North Carolina State, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #27 defensive tackle, and #297 overall. Mallard Creek is a pretty consistent producer of talent in the state of North Carolina, but Davis seems likely to stay in the south.

Anaheim (CA) Servite safety Julius Irvin was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’2″, 182 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA, and USC, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #25 safety, and #322 overall. Irvin looks like a combo safety who could play deep or come up into the box to support the run and the short passing game.

Ft. Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas defensive tackle Dejmi Dumervil Jean was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’4″, 367 lb. prospect with offers from Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi State, and Oregon, among others. Saying Dumervil Jean is planet-sized is a disservice; he’s built like a gas giant. A pure nose tackle prospect, he hails from perhaps the biggest talent-producing school in the Sunshine State, where Michigan has failed to make inroads despite many attempts to do so.

Hit the jump for another new offer and a couple guys who committed elsewhere.

Ft. Myers (FL) Dunbar wide receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis, a Kentucky commit, was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’1″, 170 lb. prospect who also has offers from Georgia, Louisville, North Carolina, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #142 wide receiver, and #109 overall.

OFF THE BOARD

Melbourne (FL) Holy Trinity running back Jashaun Corbin decommitted from Tennessee and then committed to Florida State. He’s the #8 all-purpose back and #381 overall in the 2018 class.

Toledo (OH) St. John’s linebacker Dallas Gant committed to Ohio State. Michigan tried hard to reel him in and made him their #1 – and only – target at linebacker for a while, but Gant admitted after his commitment that the Wolverines were too late to offer. I always find that type of thing dubious when “too late” means he was offered over a year before National Signing Day, on January 23, 2017.

Im hoping between Rudock and O’Korn we’ve been able to backdoor our way into St. Thomas Aquinas. Might be wishful thinking. Love the work you do Thunder.

That would be nice if Rudock and O’Korn could put in a good word. Thanks!

Can I assume the Dumervil kid is related to Elvis Dumervil?

I thought the same thing, but I have been unable to confirm whether that’s true or not.

Harry Dumervil was widely advertised as a cousin. He too was from the Lauderdale area and beyond massive. 399 lbs and 6’6″, I believe.
