COMMITMENT

Olympia (FL) Olympia quarterback Joe Milton committed to Michigan (LINK).

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2019

Palm Beach (FL) Central cornerback Akeem Dent was offered by Michigan. Dent is a 6’1″, 170 lb. corner who decommitted from Miami in March. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #1 cornerback, and #6 overall, and has offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, and LSU, among others. He transferred to Central from Pahokee, which is the alma mater of former Michigan players Martavious Odoms, Brandin Hawthorne, and Richard Ash. As a sophomore at Pahokee in 2016, he made 40 tackles and 3 interceptions, 2 of which he returned for touchdowns.

Acworth (GA) Kennesaw Mountain tight end Ryland Goede was offered by Michigan. Goede stands 6’7″, 235 lbs. and is a 247 Sports 4-star, the #4 tight end, and #66 overall. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, and Notre Dame have also offered. He seems likely to eventually end up at Georgia.

Loganville (GA) Grayson linebacker Kevin Harris was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’4″, 210 lb. outside ‘backer with offers from Georgia and Oklahoma, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #9 outside linebacker, and #109 overall. Harris is a little bit thin right now, and he might end up at either linebacker or defensive end, depending on how his body develops. He attends the same school where Michigan incoming freshman Kurt Taylor played during his senior year, a powerhouse program in the state of Georgia.

Fort Myers (FL) Dunbar defensive end Derick Hunter was offered by Michigan. Hunter is a 6’5″, 245 lb. strongside end with offers from Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, and Oregon, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #13 strongside end, and #166 overall. With two years of high school remaining, I think Hunter might grow into a 3-tech defensive tackle before all is said and done.

Hit the jump for a bunch more new offers.

Flowood (MS) Northwest Rankin safety Jarrian Jones was offered by Michigan. Jones isa  6’1″, 185 lb. prospect with offers from Georgia, Minnesota, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss, among others. He committed to Mississippi State in December and then decommitted in early April.

Hogansville (GA) Callaway offensive guard Keiondre Jones was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’3″, 265-pounder with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, and Georgia, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #4 offensive guard, and #82 overall. He does a good job of playing with a wide base and has some impressive upper body strength to overpower defenders. He also has the feet to play tackle as long as he gets a little bit taller than 6’3″.

Homerville (GA) Clinch County linebacker Trezman Marshall was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’1″, 215 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and Ole Miss, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #4 athlete, and #63 overall. Marshall has short legs and might be a little bit limited to either inside linebacker or potentially fullback.

Powder Springs (GA) Hillgrove safety Jaylen McCullough was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’1″, 190 lb. prospect with offers from Alabma, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and Notre Dame, among others. He’s a good high school running back, too, but based on his body type, I think he’s more likely to end up playing defense. He will probably end up at Florida State, though it’s still early for these 2019 kids.

Loganville (GA) Grayson offensive tackle Wanya Morris, a Florida State commit, was offered by Michigan. A 6’5″, 268 lb. offensive tackle, he’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #6 offensive tackle, and #74 overall. As far as I know, he’s not related to the Boyz II Men singer of the same name. He also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and LSU, among others.

Lagrange (GA) Troup County linebacker King Mwikuta was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’4″, 205 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Miami, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #5 outside linebacker, and #69 overall. From what I’ve seen, he’s extremely raw as a pass rusher and I’m somewhat surprised he’s ranked at #69, but if he puts in the work, he could be something.

Flower Mound (TX) Marcus offensive tackle Justin Osborne was offered by Michigan. Osborne is a 6’4″, 251 lb. prospect with offers from Oklahoma and SMU. He’s a little bit light right now, so he needs to add weight and strength, but he has good feet.

Kentwood (LA) Kentwood wide receiver Trey Palmer was offered by Michigan. Palmer is a 6’0″, 165 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and LSU, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #12 wide receiver, and #52 overall.

Ocean Springs (MS) John Ehret linebacker Donte Starks was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’1″, 225 lb. prospect with offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Louisville, LSU, and Oklahoma, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #1 inside linebacker, and #20 overall. Starks has that “it factor” as an inside linebacker, where he just sniffs out the play and goes after it. He’s a fun one to watch. Also, Mississippi kids refuse to leave the South, so Michigan has no shot.

Decatur (AL) Austin cornerback Reddy Steward was offered by Michigan. Steward is 5’10”, 160 lbs., and his only other offer comes from South Carolina; the Wolverines were first. He’s a quick kid with a little bit of fire in him. I like him.

Plano (TX) Prestonwood tight end Austin Stogner was offered by Michigan. He’s 6’6″, 230 lbs. and has offers from Baylor (his dad’s alma mater), Florida, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas A&M, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #3 tight end, and #65 overall. He’s pretty thin right now and needs to fill out, but his first highlight is what Frank Clark should have done in the Sugar Bowl against Virginia Tech.

St. Louis (MO) Trinity wide receiver Marcus Washington was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’2″, 170 lb. prospect with offers from Missouri, Nebraska, and Ohio State, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #13 wide receiver, and #57 overall. Washington is a classmate of cornerback Isaiah Williams and visited Michigan in mid-April, along with several more teammates.

Loganville (GA) Grayson safety Kenyatta Watson II, a Florida State commit, was offered by Michigan. He committed to the Seminoles in early April. He’s a 247 Sports 3-star, the #16 safety, and #278 overall. At 6’2″ and 177 lbs., he’s listed as a safety but looks like a boundary corner in Michigan’s defense.

Lakeland (FL) Lakeland tight end Keon Zipperer was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’2″, 232 lb. prospect with offers from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, and Ohio State, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #5 tight end, and #73 overall. Zipperer is on the shorter side for a tight end, but he’s a good athlete who runs with an attitude.

OFF THE BOARD

Charlotte (NC) West Mecklenburg wide receiver Dyami Brown committed to North Carolina. He had named Michigan to his top five not long before.

Atlanta (GA) Hapeville Charter cornerback Chris Smith committed to Georgia. He had also named Michigan to his top group.

Yeah, I know these are 2019 kids, but Michigan has offered 28 kids from Georgia in the 2018 class.
