FORMER PLAYERS

TE Erick All (Iowa): All is now a Hawkeye and might play second fiddle at tight end to Luke Lachey, but Iowa uses multiple tight ends on a regular basis, so he should get plenty of playing time. Last year’s second tight end was Lachey, who had 28 catches for 398 yards and 4 touchdowns behind Sam LaPorta, who is now with the Detroit Lions.

WR Andrel Anthony (Oklahoma): Anthony is slotted in as a starting receiver for the Sooners this fall. He’s listed as a 6’1″, 192 lb. junior.

QB Alan Bowman (Oklahoma State): Bowman is in a battle for the starting quarterback job at one of the “other” OSU schools.

OG Zach Carpenter (Indiana): Carpenter is a redshirt senior who is expected to start at center for the Hoosiers.

S Damani Dent (Charlotte): Dent is a 5’11”, 196 lb. redshirt freshman at Charlotte.

CB Darion Green-Warren (Nevada): Green-Warren is a redshirt sophomore who is expected to be a backup for the Wolfpack in 2023.

TE Louis Hansen (UConn): Hansen is expected to start for the Huskies at tight end this fall. He’s listed at 6’4″ and 238 pounds.

QB Ren Hefley (Middle Tennessee): Hefley started last season for Northwest Mississippi Community College, but he transferred to Middle Tennessee in the off-season and is now expected to be a backup.

WR A.J. Henning (Northwestern): Henning is going to be the starting slot receiver for the Wildcats this year.

LB Nikhai Hill-Green (Charlotte): Hill-Green is expected to be Charlotte’s starting middle linebacker in his first year at Charlotte.

K Cole Hussung (Louisville): The former walk-on kicker is expected to handle kickoffs this season at Louisville.

WR Giles Jackson (Washington): Jackson returns to the Huskies in 2023 as a backup wide receiver and a likely starting kickoff returner. Last year he caught 28 passes for 328 yards and 1 score.

CB George Johnson III (UMass): Johnson is expected to start for UMass for a second consecutive season. He caught 28 passes for 402 yards and 1 touchdown last year.

DE Aaron Lewis (Rutgers): The junior is expected to start at defensive end for the Scarlet Knights. He made 54 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 10 quarterback hurries last year.

QB Cade McNamara (Iowa): McNamara is expected to be Iowa’s starting quarterback.

QB Joe Milton (Tennessee): Milton completed 53/82 passes for 971 yards and 10 touchdowns as mostly a backup last year. He’s expected to take over as the starter in 2023 after Hendon Hooker ended up with the Detroit Lions.

S Jordan Morant (Mississippi State): Morant had 11 tackles as a backup last season but is expected to start at safety for the Bulldogs in 2023.

S R.J. Moten (Florida): Moten is a 6’0″, 220-pounder and is slated to start at free safety in his first season for the Gators.

DE Eyabi Okie-Anoma (Charlotte): Okie-Anoma is listed as a 6’5″, 244 lb. defensive end for Charlotte, where his former high school head coach Biff Poggi is now the head coach. Okie-Anoma (who went by Eyabi Okie last year) has now been at Alabama, UT-Martin, Houston, Michigan, and Charlotte in his college career.

DT George Rooks (Boston College): Rooks is likely to be a backup defensive tackle for BC this fall.

OG Nolan Rumler (Kent State): Rumler is a fifth year senior and is expected to start at center for the Golden Flashes in 2023.

CB Andre Seldon (New Mexico State): Seldon is expected to start for NMSU this season after making 44 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 1 interception returned for a touchdown, and 4 pass breakups last year.

CB Myles Sims (Georgia Tech): Sims returns to start in 2023 after making 43 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 interception, and 3 pass breakups in 2022.

LB Anthony Solomon (Arizona): Solomon is no longer on Arizona’s roster. He has eligibility remaining, but I have not seen him pop up elsewhere yet, so maybe his college career is over.

LB Deuce Spurlock (Florida): Spurlock is listed as a 6’0″, 225 lb. redshirt freshman linebacker for the Gators.

DT Jack Stewart (UConn): Stewart is a backup offensive guard at UConn.

RB Christian Turner (Indiana): Turner rushed 128 times for 516 yards and 7 touchdowns last year for Wake Forest, and he transferred to Indiana in the off-season, where he will probably be a backup.

DE Taylor Upshaw (Arizona): Upshaw is listed as a 6’5″, 270-pounder and will likely start at defensive end for the Wildcats. Upshaw transferred to Colorado but left after spring practice.

TE Dan Villari (Syracuse): Villari is expected to be a backup tight end for the Orangemen after playing some quarterback and some receiver earlier in his career. He’s listed at 6’4″ and 235 pounds.

DE Julius Welschof (Charlotte): Welschof is listed as a 6’6″, 265 lb. defensive lineman for the 49ers and is expected to start at defensive end, opposite Okie-Anoma (see above).

LB Cornell Wheeler (Kansas): Wheeler is listed as a 6’0″, 225 lb. redshirt junior linebacker for the Jayhawks and is expected to be a backup.
