Orlando Apollos running back De’Veon Smith had the best game of his professional career with 8 carries for 52 yards, including a nice 28-yard run. The Apollos stayed undefeated with a 21-17 win over the Memphis Express.

HONORABLE MENTION
Ty Isaac, RB (Birmingham Iron): Isaac had 1 carry for 3 yards and 1 catch for 9 yards in a 28-12 win over the Atlanta Legends.
Denard Robinson, RB (Atlanta Legends): Robinson had 3 carries for 7 yards and 2 catches for -2 yards in a 28-12 loss to the Iron.
This Denard Robinson drop in the end zone was the real killer tbh pic.twitter.com/9III0K3ESF

Barry Sanders he isn’t but I’ve always liked Smith’s hard-nosed running.
If he keeps it up he might pass Toussaint (137 career NFL rushing yards), Mike Hart (264 career NFL rushing yards) and even Chris Perry (606 career rushing yards) to become the most productive UM RB at the professional level since Anthony Thomas (Rushing yards: 3,891).
*Some might include Denard and Thomas Rawls in the group but they produced mostly at another position or school.

Well, hopefully the AAF sticks around long enough for him to reach that status.
