I hope we land him, he did a solid job with the OL during RR years, and a great job at Indiana. I know that Drevno has a very solid resume, but I expected a little more out of him so far.

Ruiz beating out Cole would be a good thing because Cole is our best lineman right now and can play anywhere. So Ruiz taking Cole’s spot and Cole taking JBB’s or Ulizio’s spot would be great. Plus if Cole can’t hold on to a spot against a true freshman, chances are he won’t be an NFL Center anyways.

Sam Webb’s job is to generate clicks on a website and to do so he has to be as positive as possible regarding recruiting. Anything is possible, but all the speculation and analysis of Najee’s recruitment is comical at this point. I think he sticks with Bama but I won’t lose sleep over it either way. We need linemen who can make an early impact on both sides of the ball, chasing Rbs at this point reminds me a little of RR chasing slot receivers.

I only follow recruiting casually, and mostly to get a kick out of the die hard fans freaking out one way or another over flaky teenagers… but I would have to see it to believe that Michigan can steal a #1 recruit from Alabama. Beating them out for a commitment I can see, but to steal their pledge at a RB position sounds highly unlikely to me.

His stance on the OL is really weird, it looks like a DL stance. He is also very limited athletically which is probably why there aren’t highlights of his pass protection. What he does have going for him is being a nasty customer who blocks to the whistle.

I think it was a mistake to try those weird packages in the beginning of the game. Just run the conventional ball control offense and stop throwing to Darboh who is completely covered. Thankfully the brain trust came to their senses and started including Chesson and Butt in the game.
