Greg Schiano was mediocre at Rutgers and sucked in the NFL, who would want him to coach anything?

Addazio or Schiano, and I might consider abandoning this "fan" thing. My heart has been through too much over the past 7-8 years.

Once again, too many Michigan fans seem to be confusing how badly they want something with how likely it is to happen.

And I see that yet another school (Wisconsin) has filled their coaching vacancy quickly and with minimal fuss. So again, what's Michigan's problem?

Obviously, the issue with Michigan is that they're waiting for an NFL head coach who has yet to finish his NFL season. I'm assuming this was a rhetorical question but I'm answering anyway.

If you think the likelihood of a Paul Chryst or the equivalent won't be available in 3 weeks, then we are in trouble. I personally feel that taking that level of candidate now is nothing more than filling the position to settle the fan base. Not how I want this to end.

Right. It's frustrating, but we are basically waiting for Harbaugh to finish the season.

I am not too worried though. Hackett appears to have plan B in case Harbaugh doesn't come through — he seems to build a list of plan B candidates (Mullen, Mora, etc.) through a search firm.
