Visitors: Michigan vs. UNLV

Fresno (CA) Clovis West linebacker Caleb Kelly

2016
Christian Boyd – DT – Muskegon (MI) Mona Shores: Boyd is a 6’2″, 260 lb. prospect with no offers at this time. He is teammates with a pretty nice crew of 2016 athletes in wide receiver Kobe Burse (Miami-OH), cornerback Darece Roberson (Western Michigan), and wide receiver Hunter Broersma (Western Michigan).

Keyshon Camp – DT – Lakeland (FL) Lake Gibson: Camp is a 6’3″, 269 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, and UCLA, among others; he committed to USC in June. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #20 defensive tackle, and #174 overall. A former teammate of Michigan freshman Reuben Jones, he is also coached by former Michigan offensive lineman Ricky Barnum. This is his official visit.

Donnie Corley – WR – Detroit (MI) King:

Caleb Kelly – LB – Fresno (CA) Clovis West:
Kelly is a 247 Composite 5-star, the #2 outside linebacker, and #16 overall. He has offers from Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA, and USC, among others. He visited Michigan this spring and the coaching staff has been after him hard, but his leader is thought to be Oklahoma. He is committed to the 2016 U.S. All-American Bowl. This is his official visit.

Visitors: Michigan vs. Oregon State

Norcross (GA) Greater Atlanta Christian quarterback Davis Mills

The Wolverines will be hosting a bunch of visitors for the home opener against Oregon State this weekend. This list will increase significantly before Saturday, but here are the names I have so far.

2016

Jonathan Brys – DE – Jackson (MI) Lumen Christi:

Landon Dickerson – OG  – Hickory (NC) Hickory:

Dickerson is a 6’5″, 293 lb. prospect with offers from Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, and Virginia Tech, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #10 offensive tackle, and #71 overall. He is one of the few offensive linemen that Michigan has continued to recruit now that several linemen are committed, but he seems likely to end up elsewhere, with Virginia Tech being a strong possibility. UPDATE: Michigan asked Dickerson to reschedule his visit for after the season, but it is unlikely to get rescheduled.

Recruiting Update: September 9, 2015

Clairton (PA) Clairton running back Lamont Wade

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2016
Mount Holly (NC) Mountain Island running back Robert Washington decommitted from Syracuse. You may remember that there was a bit of a kerfuffle when he committed to Syracuse in the first place, because he supposedly committed to Florida shortly before that. And, oh yeah, he was also committed to Mississippi State for a while. His most recent 247 Crystal Ball pick is in favor of North Carolina, but his choice will be his fourth school, so take any news with a grain of salt.

Hit the jump for several updates on new 2017 offers, guys who went off the board, and some miscellaneous bits.

Recruiting Update: August 26, 2015

Brandon Peters (image via 247 Sports)

Because of the impending football season, the recruiting updates will be bumped from Mondays to Wednesdays. There’s too much football-related stuff going on over the weekend to get everything written so early in the week.

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2016
Kentwood (LA) Kentwood cornerback Shyheim Carter decommitted from Alabama. Carter is a 6’0″, 190 lb. prospect with offers from Clemson, Georgia, LSU, and others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #5 cornerback, and #51 overall. At one time he talked about wanting to visit Michigan, but that was almost certainly lip service, and he is now expected to become a Georgia Bulldog.

MISCELLANEOUS
Since a few Michigan commits began their senior seasons this past weekend, I started up the recruit tracker posts once again (LINK). So click that link if you’re interested in following the efforts of Brandon Peters, Kiante Enis, and Chris Evans, with more to come later.

Avon (IN) Avon quarterback Brandon Peters, a Michigan commit, will join Detroit (MI) Cass Tech offensive guard Michael Onwenu at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl (LINK). Peters had previously been committed to play in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.

Philadelphia (PA) Imhotep tight end Naseir Upshur will announce his decision on September 1, 2015. He is expected to pick Florida State, and there are rumors that he is already a silent commit to the Seminoles. He had originally said that he would announce on August 8, 2015, and that choice likely would have been Michigan.

Lawrence (KS) Lawrence defensive end Amani Bledsoe released a top six that does not include Michigan.

Here’s a list of a few visitors from this past weekend (LINK).
