Before moving any further, it might be important for you to check out Michigan’s huge visitors list from this past weekend. Most of this week’s recruiting update is guys who committed elsewhere, but the visitors list is much more indicative of how Michigan’s recruiting right now. Here’s the list: LINK.

COMMITMENTS

Williamstown (NJ) Williamstown defensive end Aaron Lewis, Jr. committed to Michigan (LINK).

Brooklyn (NY) Erasmus Hall linebacker William Mohan committed to Michigan (LINK).

Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic safety Jordan Morant committed to Michigan (LINK).

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Jeffrey M’ba – DT – Oakdale (CT) St. Thomas More: M’ba decommitted from Virginia. He’s a 6’6″, 315-pounder who emigrated from France. He’s a 4-star, the #28 defensive tackle, and #320 overall with offers from Florida, Ohio State, and Penn State, among others.

Luke Akers – K – Brentwood (TN) Ravenwood: Akers is a 6’1″, 170 lb. prospect with no scholarship offers, but Michigan offered him a preferred walk-on spot.

Darden Davis – S – Macomb (MI) Dakota: Davis is a 6’3″, 200-pounder with no offers at the moment.

Colby Dempsey – CB – Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas: Dempsey is a 5’11”, 170 lb. prospect with offers from Kentucky, Michigan, and Missouri, among others.

Anthony Enechukwu – WR – Orchard Lake (MI) St. Mary’s: Enechukwu is a 6’3″, 190 lb. prospect with offers from Air Force and a bunch of MAC schools. He’s a 247 Sports 3-star, the #130 wide receiver, and #1522 overall.

Christian Fitzpatrick – WR – Waterford (MI) Mott: Fitzpatrick is a 6’4″, 200 lb. prospect with offers from Boston College, FAU, Illinois, and some MAC programs. He’s a 3-star, the #121 wide receiver, and #704 overall.

Cal Haladay – LB – Catawissa (PA) Southern Columbia: Haladay is a 6’0″, 197-pounder with offers from Michigan, Nebraska, and UMass.

Kenny Mestidor – DE – Oakdale (CT) St. Thomas More: Mestidor is a 6’3″, 240 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, UCLA, and USC, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #17 weakside end, and #500 overall. Mestidor transferred from Ontario, Canada. This is an official visit.

Bryce Austin – DT – Southfield (MI) Southfield: Austin is a 6’2″, 260-pounder with offers from Michigan State, Missouri, and Pitt, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 3-star, the #22 defensive tackle, and #315 overall.

Michael Carmody – OT – Mars (PA) Mars Area: Carmody is a 6’5″, 285 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Penn State, and Virginia Tech, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #25 offensive tackle, and #196 overall. All five crystal ball picks so far are for Penn State.

Cal Haladay – LB – Catawissa (PA) Southern Columbia: Haladay is a 6’0″, 197 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan and UMass.

A.J. Henning – WR – Frankfort (IL) Lincoln-Way East: Henning is a 5’10”, 175 lb. prospect with offers from LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #8 wide receiver, and #51 overall, and 247 Sports has him at #25 overall, which is 5-star territory. His crystal ball is 83% for Notre Dame and 17% for OSU, but Henning recently named Michigan to his top 10.

Jakob James – OT – Cincinnati (OH) Elder: James is a 6’5″, 275 lb. prospect with offers from Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, and others. He’s a 247 Sports 3-star, the #68 offensive tackle, and #625 overall. UPDATE: James committed to Ohio State earlier this week, so I would not expect him to show up for his planned visit to Ann Arbor.

Theo Johnson – TE – Windsor (Ontario) Holy Names: Johnson is a 6’5″, 235-pounder with offers from Boston College, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Penn State, and others. He’s a 3-star, the #11 tight end, and #452 overall. Both crystal ball picks for him so far are for Penn State.

2020 Recruiting Update: January 4, 2019

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Tosh Baker – OT – Phoenix (AZ) Pinnacle: Baker is a 6’8″, 260 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and USC, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #52 offensive tackle, and #484 overall. He’s a teammate of new-ish Michigan quarterback commit J.D. Johnson.

Jimmy Christ – OT – Sterling (VA) Dominion: Christ is a 6’7″, 280 lb. prospect with offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, and Virginia, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #47 offensive tackle, and #404 overall.

Fred Davis – CB – Jacksonville (FL) Trinity: Davis is a 6’2″, 177-pounder with offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Miami, among others. He’s a 5-star, the #3 cornerback, and #30 overall. He claims a 4.57 forty, a 4.3 shuttle, and a 36″ vertical.

Jordan Castleberry – RB – Lakewood (OH) St. Edward: Castleberry is a 5’7″, 190 lb. prospect. He committed to Michigan as a preferred walk-on during the visit.

Danielson Ike – OT – Kansas City (MO) Rockhurst: Ike is a 6’6″, 300 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Michigan, and Oklahoma, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #44 offensive tackle, and #589 overall. Nobody has a good line on where Ike will end up, so Michigan has as good of a shot as any school. This is his official visit. UPDATE: Ike is no longer visiting.

Cornelius Johnson – WR – Greenwich (CT) Brunswick: Johnson is a 6’3″, 195-pounder with offers from Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Stanford, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #39 wide receiver, and #256 overall. The most recent crystal ball pick comes for Michigan from Notre Dame writer Tom Loy, but that’s the only pro-Michigan pick out of seven. This is his official visit, and he plans to announce his decision on December 19.
