I updated the visitors list with a bunch of players who camped over the weekend. It was too hard to tell from social media who was camping and who was just visiting, so I clumped them all together.

2018

Emil Ekiyor – OG – Indianapolis (IN) Cathedral:

Aidan Hutchinson – DE – Dearborn (MI) Divine Child:

Jalen Mayfield – OT – Grand Rapids (MI) Catholic Central:

Cameron McGrone – LB – Indianapolis (IN) Lawrence Central: McGrone is a 6’1″, 215 lb. prospect with offers from Indiana, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #17 outside linebacker, and #251 overall. He does not have a Michigan offer yet, but he is likely to get one on this trip.

Raiqwon O’Neal – OT – Conway (SC) Conway: O’Neal is a 6’5″, 265 lb. prospect with offers from Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, and South Carolina, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 3-star, the #70 offensive tackle, and #876 overall. He runs extremely well for a big guy, and I’m very surprised that he’s only the #876 overall recruit in the country. Conway is the alma mater of former Michigan wide receiver Junior Hemingway.

Hit the jump for several more 2018 and 2019 visitors.

David Reese – LB – Vero Beach (FL) Vero Beach: Reese is a 6’2″, 213 lb. prospect with offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, and Michigan, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #27 outside linebacker, and #406 overall.

Tyrone Sampson – C – Detroit (MI) East English Village: Sampson is committed to Syracuse.

Jamien Sherwood – S – Jensen Beach (FL) Jensen Beach: Sherwood is a 6’2″, 195 lb. prospect with offers from Auburn, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Oregon, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #32 safety, and #399 overall. He and Reese are friends and will be traveling together from Florida.

Shayne Simon – LB – Jersey City (NJ) St. Peter’s Prep: He’s a 6’3″, 215 lb. safety/outside linebacker with offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and Stanford, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #7 outside linebacker, and #148 overall. Simon actually visited last weekend and won’t visit this week, but he kept it quiet and news didn’t come out about it until a few days later.

I’s take McGrone. He isn’t perfect, Thunder will likely complain some about him not always driving though contact. But he’s a nice package of size, quickness and mean. He really hates blockers, he fights hard if someone gets in to him, plays pretty smart, takes pretty good angles, wraps up mostly and really hates blockers. If I haven’t mentioned it, he really hates blockers. Really.

247 seems to think he’s an OLB, I’m thinking Mike or Will prospect.

Just watching the kids Harbaugh has coming in to look, week after week after week after week, it becomes very clear that we are just relentlessly on a mission to get faster, but even more so, tougher and meaner from one end of this team to the other.

I like this David Reece a little better than the last David Reece ….. faster. And I really liked the last David Reece, thought it was a mistake to not find a way to bring him in early and will say I told you so with regards to LB depth and conversations about Robo being on the 2 deep.
