TRANSFER

Sunny Odogwu – OT – Miami-FL: Odogwu is a 6’8″, 325 lb. tackle who’s leaving the Miami Hurricanes. He will be a fifth year senior in the fall, so he’s eligible to play immediately as a grad transfer. He started 14 games during his career, but he suffered a torn MCL in 2015 and a broken leg in 2016, the latter of which caused him to miss the final eight games of the year. A Nigerian immigrant, he attended Baltimore (MD) St. Frances and Hargrave Military Academy before enrolling at Miami in 2013.

2018

James Ohonba – OG – Stockbridge (GA) Woodland: Ohonba is a 6’5″, 320 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, LSU, Michigan, and USC, which make up his top four. He’s a 4-star, the #23 offensive tackle, and #306 overall.

2019

Chris Hinton, Jr. – DE – Norcross (GA) Greater Atlanta Christian: Hinton is a 6’4″, 265 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford, and USC, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #2 strongside end, and #14 overall. He was originally being looked at as an offensive lineman, but now he wants to play defensive line. He looks like an offensive guard to me and lacks great defensive instincts, but he has a couple years to improve before hitting college. He’s the son of Chris Hinton – hence the name – who played at Northwestern before an NFL career with the Falcons and Colts.

Hit the jump for the full post.

2020

Myles Hinton – OT – Norcross (GA) Greater Atlanta Christian: Hinton is a 6’6″, 300 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, and USC, among others. He’s the younger brother of Chris.

hinton obviously has talent and hes a big athletic kid with some versatility – and while im sure hed be a great asset for m and contribute at some position down the line, i just dont see a top 10-20 type prospect on that tape.
maybe he develops and refines his game over next 1-2 years but he doesnt look like hell finish his recruiting cycle as a top 10-20 overall prospect or top 1-2 at his position.
just my opinion – and doesnt mean i dont like him as a prospect or see his potential bc i do (i think hes uses his hands pretty darn well for a soph, good at staying square, disengaging from blockers and pursuing, etc), i just dont see one of the top handful of national prospects jumping off the screen (like how dexter lawrence, taron vincent, etc did as sophs)

Been hoping that the OL grad transfer market would heat up. UCLA is stiff competition for Odogwu. Hopefully he doesn’t worry to much about the weather in AA. He shouldn’t considering he’ll likely be here for only a few months and could depart before things get nasty in December.

Odogwu could fill a HUGE need.
