Nightly Roundup: August 23, 2020

Jaylen Waddle

Pro Football Focus put out a mock draft that has the Lions getting Jaylen Waddle and the Falcons taking Kwity Paye at #14 overall (LINK).

PFF also ranked all the projected starting quarterbacks in the country (LINK). Dylan McCaffrey is in the middle of the pack, but Michigan State’s duo of Rocky Lombardi and Theo Day is #118 out of 130.

Who’s more deserving of wearing the #1 jersey?

  • 48 catches, 759 yards, 1 touchdown
  • 37 catches, 729 yards, 7 touchdowns

As you might have guessed, the first guy is Ronnie Bell. The second is Nico Collins. I’m not sure it totally makes sense to give the #1 jersey to the guy with 11 fewer catches, but I don’t really care too deeply. I like them both.

Award watch list notes:

  • WR Nico Collins was named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list for best WR
  • TE Nick Eubanks was named to the Mackey Award watch list for best TE
  • DE Kwity Paye was named to the Bednarik Award watch list for best defensive player

Afternoon Roundup: December 28, 2019

The holidays are busy. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying Washington State vs. Air Force highlights!

A couple wrap-up items from recent days on players with decisions to make:

  • Nick Eubanks is returning for a fifth year at tight end, which is good because I don’t think he would get drafted in 2020.
  • Kwity Paye is returning for his senior year at defensive end, which is also good because I don’t think his draft stock would be very high.
  • It sounds like Ambry Thomas is coming back, although he hasn’t come out with that decision as definitively as the first two.
